Directly after the blast Mr Hayasaki managed to get to his feet only to realise that he was now deaf in one ear and most of his friends and colleagues were now dead. After going outside Mr Haysaki witnessed much more death and destruction. Bodies piled over the city, floating in rivers and lying outside train stations trying to escape. Those who were still breathing were screaming in agony or begging for water from Mr Haysaki. Mr Haysaki was infact already told that this would kill them, at this time Mr Hayasaki did not understand what the person meant and did the fatal move of giving these people water. This action of giving water to atomic blast victims actually makes their symptoms advance quicker. Within 10 minutes all these people were dead, not just through the actions of Mr Haysaki as they probably would not have made it anyway, but this did speed up the process. After some time he was near a train station where there were a mass of bodies some still alive, most dead, and one of the worst sights Mr Hayasaki witnessed.
